Restauranteur, Dave Matheson approached Alpha Air Conditioning about his latest project in The Lower Pollet. This was to be ‘Rouge Wine and Cheese’. The brief was to provide a cooling and heating system that was both unobtrusive, and complimentary, to the high class finishes and colour scheme of blacks and deep reds.

Alpha Air Conditioning Ltd selected a Daikin Cassette, split type heat pump system. The fan coil was fully on show below the solid ceiling. The casing was sprayed black and the recently introduced, black designer panel was installed, giving the final appearance a sleek, flat finish. This was one of the first of these new style panels to be installed within the British Isles.
